Introduction:
The 12th AOSDAC (the Asia Oceania Soap and Detergent Associations Conference), organized by Accord Australasia, was held on Oct. 23th in Sydney, Australia. Delegates from Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, Latin America and Taiwan, China were invited to attend the meeting.
As one of the executive members of AOSDAC, Wang Minyan, CCIA president, and Gai Donghai, CCIA acting secretary general, led a group of members to attend the meeting. The group consists of delegates from Beijing Technology and Business University, Guangzhou Lonkey, BlueMoon, Hutchison Whitecat, Reward, Keywa, Guangdong Wincom, Dongwu Fragrance, Guangdong Youkai, Magic Amah, Beijing Xinmeida and Jilin Zhongxin, etc.
President Wang Minyan delivered a presentation titled “China Cleaning Industry Forging Ahead”, introducing the general information of China cleaning industry and related policies and regulations, analyzing the market environment facing China cleaning industry in the present, and proposing the latest initiatives and missions of CCIA.

President Wang Minyan pointed out that high-quality green development has become the focus of China national economy development direction. The current session of council has already set about drafting the 14th five-year plan of China cleaning industry to guide the industry to develop in a healthy and ordered way, and will continue to develop a more perfect standard system, organize professional technical training, promoting detergent compaction and advocating industry green development.
Craig Brock, Government and Public Affair director of Accord, Sanjay Trivedi, president of Indian Home & Personal Care Industry Association, Masazumi Kikukawa, Chairperson of JSDA, Hiroyuki Saijo, Senior Management Director of JSDA, Hee Chai Joon from Malaysia Soap & Detergent Association, Wu Yingwei, president of Taiwan Cleaning Products Association presented on different topics, including organization initiatives, market environment, sustainability, recycling economy, etc.
AOSDAC is an event launched and organized by industry organizations from Asian and Oceania districts. The first session was held in Tokyo in 1997, and held once every two years. The next AOSDAC was confirmed to be held in China in 2021. CCIA will organize and host the 13th AOSDAC.
